The astrological day begins at the moment of local sunrise and the first hour is ruled by the planet which rules the day. Succeeding hours are ruled by the planets in a definite order ~ Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon. Thus, Sunday's first hour from sunrise is ruled by the Sun, the second by Venus, the third by Mercury, etc...
Avail yourself of the planetary influences whenever possible. The ultimate in astrological assistance would be to begin a love spell on Friday (ruled by Venus) at the 1st, 8th, 15th, or 22nd hour after sunrise (since all these hours are ruled by Venus). If Venus' day, Friday is impracticable, start the spell at any other day's Venus hour ~ for instance, on Wednesday at the 7th, 14th or 21st hour after sunrise.
